With experience spanning employment law, construction litigation, and general civil matters, Benton has represented entities of all sizes including individuals, local businesses, and national corporations. Benton prides himself on tailoring his approach to fit the needs of the legal dispute before him as well as the needs of his clients. Indeed, Benton has received favorable outcomes for his clients in both state and federal court, while also having resolved many of his client’s disputes through mediation or other informal negotiations.

Before entering private practice, Benton served in public sector roles with the Utah Attorney General’s Office and the Salt Lake City Justice Court, where he honed his research and analytical skills on constitutional and tax-related legal issues. He also contributed to academic research in international and U.S. tax law through a prestigious fellowship under Professor Christine Kim at the S.J. Quinney College of Law.
